TFAE EVENTS
The Academic Excellence Teacher Awards celebrates excellence in education by honoring all Terrebonne Parish Public School teachers. At this event the Inspirational Teacher of the Year and the Teachers of the Year for Elementary, Middle/Junior High and High School are publicly announced. The Teacher of the Year winners each receives $500 cash in addition to the Foundation keepsake award. The finalists each receive a $100 cash award.
The Inspirational nominees and teachers of the year from each of the 41 Terrebonne Parish Public Schools are also recognized for their accomplishments in the teaching profession. More info...

The Courier presents the TGMC 5K Run for Excellence and Cajun Food Fest is great event for the whole family. The race has grown tremedously in it's eleven year history. Thousands of participants enjoy great music, children's activities, and delicious food in downtown Houma. More info...

Great Conversations
Think...dining with friends with a twist!
TFAE held it's first Great Conversations on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Participants selected a topic of choice and shared a delicious meal with other guests at the table. A table host served as facilitator at the table to keep everyone on the topic of choice throughout dinner.
Proceeds from this event were used to purchase Richard Scarry’s Best Little Word Book Ever! for over 1,400 Kindergarten students in the Terrebonne Parish Public School District. The books were given to them to take home for their personal use. More info...
