Foundation Grant Program
Why do we do this? When students learn more, they are able to get better jobs and provide a better quality of life for their families. Studies have shown that there is a direct correlation between the quality of life in a community and the education of it citizenry. By improving education, all of the citizens of Terrebonne Parish benefit. You can help by supporting our events, volunteering and by contributing to the Academic Excellence Fund.

Since inception we have been able to award $529,339 through the interest earnings of the AEF and BESE’s matching funds.  These grant dollars have helped to improve the education of over 33,315 students.  While no one initiative is going to solve all of the problems in our public education system, we believe this is a key component to elevating the quality of education in our parish.

We believe that the Academic Excellence Fund will serve as the catalyst to encourage, support and stimulate teachers and schools in their efforts to achieve excellence in public education. We sincerely feel that the education our young people receive in our public schools is not only our responsibility, but also our greatest challenge, and priority for the future of our community.
